4 Tips for Women Entrepreneurs to Achieve Their Goals

October is National Women's Small Business Month! According to SBA.gov, women-owned businesses are one of the fastest growing segments of the small business community. Today, about 30 percent of small businesses are owned by women, compared to about five percent in 1970. To learn more about what the SBA is doing to honor this month, click here.

Here are a few tips on achieving your goals as an entrepreneur:

  1. Set goals. To start the process of accomplishing your goals, you first have to figure out where you want to go. Do this by setting goals. When you set your business goals, make sure they are specific, have time frames and that they are attainable by you.
  2. Actively go after your goals. Take some time to think about each particular action step you need to take to reach your business goals, and use your skills and resources to their fullest. Think of all the possible ways you can achieve your goals, and be proactive.
  3. Create goal-achieving plans. Make a step-by-step plan for each of your business goals. And when you are detailed in your planning, you increase your chances for successfully accomplishing your goal.
  4. Create a daily to-do list. This helps you organize your day so you can achieve what you need to when it comes to your business goals. So, at the beginning of every day, see what you need to accomplish, then focus your energy toward your goals.
